Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia has been named among the Top 100 Golf Communities in the United States by Travel + Leisure Golf magazine in its January/February issue.
This is the third consecutive year Blackstone has appeared on the annual list compiled by the magazine’s staff and based on criteria including golf and non-golf amenities, residential architecture and style, location and environmental stewardship.
The magazine cited course architect Jim Engh’s “unbridled approach” yielding “a visual, visceral joyride of a golf course” to describe the Peoria community’s crown jewel amenity.
“This is an exciting affirmation of Blackstone’s reputation among the country’s golfing and real estate community,” said Curt Smith, chief financial officer for Sunbelt Holdings, the developer of Blackstone with Shea Homes. “It’s an amazing place for golf and for creating a lifestyle encompassing the many family activities we offer here.”
Comprised of 590 acres, Blackstone is a private, gated community named for the volcanic rock indigenous to the area. It is located west of Lake Pleasant Road and north of Happy Valley Parkway within the award-winning Vistancia master plan. Real estate opportunities include custom home sites with a selection of desert, mountain, water and golf course views from the low $200,000s, luxury builder homes by Cachet Homes, Camelot Homes and T.W. Lewis from the $600,000s, and luxury custom homes from $1.99 million.
The Hacienda clubhouse is a 30,000-square-foot facility situated in the heart of Blackstone offering an elegant restaurant, private dining venues and outdoor Cantina, three pools, 3,000-square-foot fitness center, spa area with massage services, wellappointed golf shop and 360-degree views of the surrounding local landmarks. Equity golf and social memberships, which do not require a Blackstone real estate purchase, are $75,000 and $15,000, respectively. Several membership options are available.
